Frequently asked questions
Search below, or browse by role. Can't find it? Email support@avtalor.com.
Getting started
Use your work email. You can sign in with Google, Microsoft, or get a sign-in link and one-time code by email. We recognise the domain in your address and grant the right access automatically, no password needed.
The link and code expire quickly and can only be used once. Request a new one from the sign-in page, or enter the one-time code from the same email. The code is 6 digits.
You pick a role (employee, administrator or supplier), enter your name, and choose notifications and consents. The terms are required; the rest is up to you. "Confirm all and create profile" enables everything in one tap.
Every company gets its own address, for example yourcompany.avtalor.com. Everyone with the company email domain gets access automatically.
Open the link in the email. If you are already signed in with the address the invitation was sent to, the role is yours straight away and you land where the role is used. If you are not signed in, one tap sends a sign-in link to that address, and the role is yours when you open it. If you are signed in with a different address, the page says so: the role goes to the invited address, not the one you are in.
For employees
It gets to read your company's agreements and the domains they apply to, so it can tell you when you are on a site you have an agreement with. It does not see the rest of your account, and it never sends the addresses you visit to us: the matching happens in your browser. The extension gets its own token, not your sign-in, and you can disconnect it from your profile at any time.
They scan the code on the proof with an ordinary camera, without signing in, and land on a page from us that says you are employed: your name, picture, company, work address and the verified domain. The page shows the same daily code as your phone, so they can see the two belong together. The code changes every day, and an old link stops working.
Your name, which company you work for, the work address the proof rests on, and what the agreement gives. Nothing else. Not your other agreements, and not what you have used before. The first time you open the proof we ask permission, because this tells whoever gives the benefit where you work. The clock and the dot make it quick to see that it is not a screenshot, but it is the QR code that actually checks the proof against us. The proof also works offline, and then it shows when it was last fetched.
Tap the agreement card to see the benefit, terms and a step-by-step guide. Most agreements have a code you copy, or a link that takes you straight to the supplier's checkout.
Most used sorts by what your colleagues actually use. Newest shows recently updated agreements first. Recommended for you weighs your favourites, company usage and freshness, and puts the most relevant on top.
Open the agreement and tap "Report a problem". Pick what went wrong from six options. Both your company's agreement owner and the supplier are notified, and you stay anonymous to the supplier.
For administrators
No. The link in the email opens the offer as it is: the supplier, what the agreement gives, how employees use it and the terms. If you take it into use, the agreement is ready for your employees right away, and you sign in afterwards to see it with the rest. If you do not want it, you decline on the same page. The link is personal and works until the offer is decided.
Tap "New" in the Agreements tab. Fill it in yourself, invite the supplier to maintain the card, or upload PDFs and let AI import suggest the fields. Nothing is published until you confirm.
Explore lists suppliers other companies in Avtalor use. When you send a request, the supplier can reply with an offer that you approve before it is published. Once created, the supplier moves to the archive in Explore.
Yes. Every offer has a message thread between you and the supplier. The other party is notified by email on each new message. The thread is only visible to the two parties, never employees.
Use "Notify employees" in the Agreements tab. It has a ready-made email, a Teams/Slack message, and a poster with a QR code. You can also announce single agreements with the bell button.
Five steps: sign in with your work email and confirm the link, verify your email domain under Settings and Access and administrators, add the agreements or import several documents at once, invite the suppliers to maintain their own cards, and send the launch email from the launch kit.
Employee access follows the email domain, so there are no user lists to maintain. Administrator and supplier access is tied to named individuals. Employees lose access when their work email is deactivated. If you need tighter control, access can instead be granted individually under Access and administrators.
Each card has one primary method of use: an agreement code, a direct link, or no code where the employee follows the steps. Validity is either ongoing or until a date, and the date option triggers automatic expiry reminders. If the supplier has been invited in, they own the content and the card is marked "Updated by supplier". An administrator may override the text; the card is then marked "Edited by us". Content can be entered in both Norwegian and English, and if English is missing, the Norwegian version is shown to employees using English.
Yes. Upload from one to twelve files, the fields are suggested per document, and you choose whether the agreements are added as drafts or published directly. Fields marked "Low confidence" should always be checked. Drafts are not visible to employees until published.
Employees never pay. The first 100 users are free. From user 101 the base price is NOK 500 per month plus a per-user rate that drops as you grow. An employee who has never signed in is not counted. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, with no notice period: you can cancel for the next period.
For suppliers
The link in the email opens the request: who the company is, how many employees they have and what they wrote. Below it you fill in the agreement card, what employees get, how they use it and the terms, and send it. The company is notified and can take the agreement into use right away. No sign-in is required. Afterwards you can create an account, so all your company agreements live in one place and you keep them updated yourself.
A Special is an agreement every company on Avtalor can publish to their employees with one tap, without negotiating separately. The link in the email opens the form where you describe the offer: what the agreement gives, what employees get, how they use it and the terms. No sign-in, no user. We go through every Special before it is published. If it does not fit, you decline on the same link and can write briefly why. Afterwards you can create a free account, and the offer is waiting in your profile. If you do not want more emails from us, you unsubscribe at the bottom of the email.
It is free up to 100 connected employees, meaning employees who have signed in at the companies you have an agreement with. Above that you pay a rate per employee that falls as you gain more customers. No integration is needed: create a supplier profile, connect the companies you already serve, and keep your agreement card updated in one place.
Requests appear in To do in the supplier panel. Tap "Send offer" and fill in the benefit in Norwegian and English. The company admin approves the offer before it is published, and you can clarify details in the message thread.
To employees only when they have actively consented, and only when the company allows it. Avtalor sends the emails; you never receive employees' contact details, only the count. You can write to the company's admins when the company has opened for supplier contact; you see them by name, since that contact is already shared through the agreement.
Yes, two. Suppliers on Pro get a data-out API with members (consent-filtered), events and webhooks. Companies get an intranet API with their published agreements in both languages. Keys are created in settings.
Account and settings
Under Settings you find Appearance and language in every role: light, dark or follow the system, and Norwegian or English. The choice is saved to your profile and follows you to new devices.
Your photo is taken from Google or Microsoft when you sign in that way, and can be changed under My profile. Companies and suppliers can fetch their logo from their own website in one tap, or upload their own, in settings.
Tap the role button in the top right and pick a view: employee, company admin or supplier. Sign out lives there too. Access is read automatically from your email address.
Privacy and operations
The company owns its data; Avtalor is the processor. Everything is stored in the EU (Supabase, eu-west-1). Terms at /terms, privacy at /privacy, the DPA at /dpa. You can export and delete your own data in settings.
Without consent you never receive supplier offers. If you enable it, everything is sent by Avtalor and your contact details are never shared. You can withdraw at any time in settings, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Press the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email and confirm with the button on the page. It only applies to news and offers from Avtalor. You still get system messages about the service, such as operations, changes, security and terms, and email from suppliers is handled separately. To get the news again, contact support@avtalor.com.
The platform team is notified automatically with a reference code whenever someone hits an error page. The try-again button solves most cases. If it persists, contact support@avtalor.com with the reference.
